The Irish and Scottish highlands possess a distinct moodiness: foggy mornings, emerald grass, and the sea that seems to be a different color each morning. Some of the best months of my life were spent exploring and photographing the highlands.
The land itself seems shaped by music. Softly rolling hills, forests full of light, sea dunes punctuated by heather and grass, it's no surprise that so much poetry, music, and legend comes from these places. The melodic quality of the land inspired me to take images that captured their timelessness.
